    Why i need to do so?

    We update our WordPress site to meet the features of our site to the latest features or convert our WordPress site from old version to the latest version.Because updation of our site time to time is more beneficial to work with the latest features and functionality of WordPress.

    How can i do it myself without impacting website.

    There are two ways of updating the site..

    Note:- Before start the update you must take the backup of your site(For this you can use Duplicator Plugin).
    1. Use automatically update from admin panelDashboard update

    When you are ready after complete the backup of your site, click Please update now to proceed with the upgrade.On the next page you can choose whether to upgrade automatically or manually.

    With the help of our process you can easily update your wordpress from admin panel of your site.Manually update of update…

    Some times you don’t want to update/downgrade WordPress automatically. As it only update latest version of WordPress. Then we can update it manually

    You can do it by follow the following instructions..

    1. Backup your site 
    2. Download WordPress core from https://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/
    3. Unzip the file into a directory on your local machine or in a separate directory on your website.
    4. Go to your website root directory and delete your ‘wp-includes’ and ‘wp-admin’ directories. You can do this via sFTP or via SSH.
    5. Upload ‘wp-includes’ and ‘wp-admin’  to your root directory
    6. delete all files outside except ‘wp-config.php’
    7. Now upload those files on root directory
    8. Visit your main WordPress admin page at /wp-admin/  it ask you to update database, update it for finalise
    9. Now you have done with update process
    10. you can see WordPress updated version on dashboard

    Precaution

    1. Backup your site before starting process
    2. Do not delete wp-content folder and wp-config.php
    3. Delete and replace ‘wp-includes’ and ‘wp-admin’  and files on roor directory except wp-config.php
