Why you should not choose GoDaddy hosting for WordPress?
    • GoDaddy uses a custom hosting panel

The more in-depth you get with your WordPress site, the more the GoDaddy Hosting Panel matters!

GoDaddy uses their own custom panel.

Basically, when you log in to your hosting account via the Web or via FTP you have a menu of options to manage your website.

Again GoDaddy uses their own custom panel! this is why you may notice that some plugins and themes for WordPress requires separate tutorials for GoDaddy Hosting.

GoDaddy no longer exclusively uses a proprietary hosting panel.

As of January 2014,They use a custom install of cPanel sort like how Verizon will customize Android on your mobile phone, It also costs $1 extra per month and this is a con compare to open providers, but nowhere near what it was in 2012.

    • GoDaddy’s Stance On SOPA/PIPA

The repeatedly internet blackout back in January of 2011 because of SOPA and PIPA

are all in favor of Internet Freedom was against those bills…except GoDaddy.

They eventually became against it…but only after customers transferred thousands of domains to competitors because of it. GoDaddy is still exhibiting behavior that indicates they do not respect privacy or ethics and don’t have a super-consistent protocol.

    • No eCommerce Tools

GoDaddy doesn’t make it easy to open an online store. Doesn’t include anything for eCommerce. You need to use a separate online store builder for twice as much as the premium site builder plan.

    • Databases, Email Addresses & Memory Limitations

Other web hosts don’t do this to the extent that GoDaddy does. You can’t put a bunch of websites up on one hosting account. You are limited to 25 websites. They removed the bit about databases from their plans page so that it *looks* like you have unlimited everything – but those hard limits are still in place.

    • No Password Protection

Not being able to password-protect certain pages of your website is a major faux pas in the web hosting world these days, so GoDaddy’s lack of password-protected pages functionality is the only other thumbs-down feature we can think of.

    • GoDaddy Hosting Is Very Restrictive On Data

Normally, GoDaddy would reject your contact form as spam makes you do a bit more work (though they say it results in less spam attacks for you)

GoDaddy  Hosting doesn’t stack up overall against other more specialized hosts that I’ve used.
