    Introduction

Not sure which website builder is best for you? Choosing the best website builder for your website is a tough and often all too confusing process. In this article, we’ll help you realize that WordPress is the best website builder by going over the pros, cons and detailed comparison with the most popular options.

    What Is Site Builder?

let us explain to you what is site builder.

Site Builder is a browser based, online site development and design tool with pre-built designed templates that allow the user to customize the site. In other words, a website builder is a program, or tool. That help you build a website and we have listed the most popular site builders below.

    WordPress.com v.s WordPress.org

While WordPress is often thought of as a single entity, there are actually two versions of it WordPress.com and WordPress.org. This confusion is well warranted because, well, the names are almost exactly the same.

WordPress.org is an open source software managed by the non profit WordPress Foundation according to our research. And WordPress.com is a for-profit business own by Automatic that uses the WordPress.org open source software. They have lots of similarities but they do have some differences too.

    Differences

Hosting is the one major difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. In WordPress.com wordpress itself will host your website, WordPress.com allows free hosting of your blog but at the cost of having an unprofessional looking subdomain. What we mean by a subdomain is that your blog or website address will look something like this “http://YourSiteOrBlogName.wordpress.com”  but in wordpress.org since it’s a blogging and website service using an open source WordPress software you will get a unique web address for your website which does not consist of a subdomain that you can download and install on your own web server.

In short, wordpress.com is FREE but you don’t technically own the blog. So, in the future, if WordPress finds your content violating any of its policies, it will ban your blog without any prior notice. That’s why it’s not recommended on serious blogs with an intent of making money and opening a business website or online store which is applicable on WordPress.org who makes you the real owner of your website. You can place any number of ads, monetize the site and even sell it to whomsoever you want. The website solely belongs to you. There is barely anything you cannot do with WordPress.org.

    Website Security

And about website security here’s the difference between the two. With WordPress.com, you just don’t need to think about security. Because the system is lock down, you don’t have the authority to make your site vulnerable. Even if you wanted to for some odd reasons. WordPress.org is just as secure as WordPress.com. But you’re the one who is responsible for implementing that security. It’s not especially complicated your host can help you with some parts of it, and WordPress security plugins can do most of the rest for you. But, you definitely need to pay more attention to security on WordPress.org than WordPress.com.

At this point, it’s exceptionally easy to create a website with both WordPress.com and WordPress.org. With that being said, it’s hard to deny that the process is even easier with WordPress.com.

So, there you have it. Analyzing the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. The latter is very much the service that you need to be using. If you are looking for a more professional website. While the former is good if you are just dipping your toes into the blogging world.
