    Difference between Squarespace v.s WordPress

    About Squarespace

Squarespace lives on the end that is all-inclusive and provides everything you need to get started and grow your website from website creations to sharing creativity and ideas. Squarespace Powers millions of websites and is great for visually minded beginners. The platform that lets you build a professional site online without resorting to coding. Edit your site easily using a user friendly content management system (CMS). Which encourages you to pick a template, add some text and images and hit the go button and you’re there.

    WordPress Points

Same goes to WordPress. But WordPress provides you with a lot of choices (from themes to plugins), very flexible and customizable especially with plugins, the code behind it is freely available and may be modify easily but could be very problematic if they breakdown. So Squarespace is fine if what you want to do on your site is very simple and you want to keep it that way. This is not to say, however, that WordPress would be harder to use. Only that you’ll have more ‘stuff’ showing on the interface of your editing pages, and more settings to be able to edit. Both Squarespace and WordPress can be use by a beginner level users as well as advanced level users. But WordPress Requires frequent maintenance especially if the platform, theme or plugins are update by their developers. You are responsible for maintaining all aspects of your website.

    Squarespace tools and functions

How about Squarespace? Unlike WordPress, Squarespace does not come with too many choices “Less flexibility”. But all tools and functions are closely controlled, monitored and tested to ensure they are up 100% of the time. However, this lack of choices make it very simple and easy to use. Even the absolute beginners can quickly write content and publish it. But wait here’s the big NO! Squarespace does not offer a totally free plan but you can try the product free for 14 days.

Squarespace is a “software as a service” (‘SaaS’) website builder you need to pay a monthly fee to use it. With regard to how Squarespace pricing stacks up against competing products. It is generally more expensive than competing website building tools. But everything you need to build and maintain your site is provided as part of that. Templates, a content management system, hosting, e-commerce, support and (depending on your requirements) a domain. Everything is Squarespace own and developed. That means that everything just works. There’s no figuring out if this app or extension is compatible.

There’s no troubleshooting or topics outside their customer support. Additionally, they have a thorough Knowledge Base with video walkthroughs and guides showing you how to do something. If they don’t already have a video to point you. Technical Support will even go the extra mile for you creating a custom screen video to help you out. They also maintain a pretty high quality customer forum which is one of the main problem of WordPress.
